By viewing this website you (the USER) hereby acknowledge that you have read and accept the following Protection of Personal Information (POPI) disclaimer.

The Agency shall take all reasonable measures to protect the personal information of users, and for the purpose of this disclaimer, “personal information” is defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act, Act 2 of 2000 (“PAIA”) and the Protection of Personal Information Act, Act 4 of 2013 (“POPI”). According to these definitions, personal information refers to information that identifies or relates specifically to you, for example, your name, age, gender, identity number, your email address, and any other information you consider to be personal and belonging to you. The Agency collects, stores and uses the User’s information (your information) primarily for the following purposes:

• To communicate requested information to the User

• To provide services to the User as requested by the User

• To authenticate the User

• To provide the User with access to restricted content on this website

• To compile non-personal statistical information about browsing habits, click patterns and access to the Agency’s website

 

Whenever you use defence-foundation.org, complete an application form, contact us electronically or use one of the services or facilities offered by us, we will collect your personal information. The information we maintain concerning our clients is stored in databases that have built-in safeguards to ensure its privacy and confidentiality. The Agency accepts no liability whatsoever for any loss, damage (whether direct, indirect, special or consequential) and/or expenses of any nature whatsoever which may arise as a result of, or which may be attributable directly or indirectly from information made available on these pages or links, or actions or transaction resulting therefrom.

The Laws of the Republic of South Africa will govern all terms and conditions of any products and services contained in these pages. Should you request products or services through defence-foundation.org, you hereby consent and submit to the jurisdiction of the South African courts in regard to all proceedings, actions, applications or the like instituted by each party against the other, and in any way arising from any stated terms and conditions.

 

TERMS OF USE

By subscribing to our service(s) you agree that:

• The information provided by the Agency is for your personal use only and that you will not share it with others.

• You are not a money manager, institutional trader, professional family office or a publisher of an investment blog or newsletter.

• You will not post any information generated by the Agency on any internet site or by any other electronic means without prior consent.

Payments and Automatic Renewal (where applicable):

 

You agree to be charged at the time of membership or subscription based on the type of plan you have selected. Your subscription will be renewed automatically and billed to your credit card/PayPal account at the beginning of each subscription period until you cancel the service. You may cancel at any time by following the procedure described in our Cancellation Policy below, or by logging into your membership profile and following the service cancellation procedures on your member page. Monthly subscription plans are renewed automatically on 30-day intervals, and the annual subscriptions plans are renewed automatically on 365-day intervals.

 

Cancellation Policy:

All memberships and subscriptions provided by the Agency will automatically renew if NOT cancelled within the prescribed time periods. A cancellation request can be submitted by email to cancellations@defence-foundation.org at least 7 days before the renewal date. A cancellation notice sent to cancellations@defence-foundation.org will terminate future use of the service and automatic renewals will end. There are no refunds.
